Biblioteca Palafoxiana
Recreational Room

The project
Abracadabra had the opportunity to redesign the recreational room inside the famous Biblioteca Palafoxiana to establish a new museographic discourse, appropriate for younger audiences.

The development
During the development process we defined the visitors’ profiles and, together with historians, we established the main concept: to emphasize the book’s fantastic and mythical nature to discover their stories.

The elements
We designed learning materials inspired by the library’s collection and translated them into a gentle and fun visual language. We intervened several engravings from Atanasio Kircher (1602-1680), Abraham Ortelius (1527-1598) and Anrés Vesalio (1602-1680) with different colors and graphics that invited the children to spread Puebla City’s memory and heritage.
